RESPONSIBILITIES
TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Execute tasks within the project plans issued by the Project Manager;
- Expedite all Customer deliverables associated with the assigned project works;
- Manage vendors and third parties associated with the assigned project works;
- Raise/ close-out CRQ’s (Change Requests) and confirm CRQ closure within SLA;
- Manage and coordinate Network Change events, including out of hours working;
- Produce implementation plans outlining assigned work, managing collaboration with end customer and its vendors/ suppliers;
- Arrange necessary space and power for equipment moves/recoveries and new installations;
- Arrange jumpering plans and requests jumpering services;
- Facilitate 3rd parties support for project works;
- Provide updates to the Project Manager & Programme Manager of project progress both informally and in regular report review meetings;
- Identify any project risks to the Project Manager;
- Attend Project Review Meetings, also manage meetings for smaller projects;
- Close down MagNet tasks (circuit planning & ordering tool).
TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Understanding of transmission networks and systems;
- Experience of IP based network deployment and delivery management;
- Implementing customer approved Roll-Out Processes;
- Establishing and implementing communication plans;
- Sharing of information with different stakeholders in a professional manner;
- Establish high and low level planning;
- Manage subcontractors, in house and 3rd party resources;
- Maintain and update project documentation on the project SharePoint area; this includes SoR, Project plan, project tracker, Risk Log (RAID), meeting minutes and supporting documents;
- Updating customer planning and reporting tools;
- Full acceptance and handover process development and implementation.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of UK networks and processes;
- Experience of systems: Remedy, MagNet suite.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/ ATTRIBUTES
- Positive and proactive attitude with ‘Can Do’ mentality;
- Ability to demand support from all project resources e.g. Subcon and 3th party;
- Good communication and written reporting skills;
- Ability to see the bigger picture and understand the importance and dependence of smaller projects to the overall programme;
- In a position to work out of hours when managing project events; includes weekday evenings/ overnight and may occasionally include weekends.
- Work on customer premises;
- Ability to understand the importance the customer places on required works and how they might fit into a much bigger scheme, supporting forthcoming technologies, refresh, etc.
