BASIC FUNCTION
- The Technical Consultant’s primary function is to troubleshoot and resolve issues experienced by the customers of ELM Solutions products;
- The technical consultant will provide technical support, development, quality assurance, and delivery management necessary to resolve client issues in a timely manner, mitigate potential risks, and respond to internal escalations;
- The technical consultant must take ownership of a client technical relationships to provide solutions from cross functional teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Manage all software environments including product packaging, client build specifications, and product customizations working with IT infrastructure;
- Develop bug-fixes, workaround procedures, product changes, installation procedures, roll-back procedures and customer documentation;
- Provide technical solutions and guidance throughout the client lifecycle for both the external and internal teams;
- Coordinate with the clients’ to identify and mitigate any technical issues that may potentially impact delivery and day-to-day operations;
- Provide client software delivery services to meet the operational objectives, including interfacing with the clients’ IT and technical teams;
- Provide support and triage issues during the user acceptance testing phase;
- Provide support to the quality assurance team;
- Coordinate activities and communication of technical requirements with internal and external teams.
OTHER DUTIES
- Development related to automation efforts within technical support;
- Developing reporting functions within technical support;
- Managing tools used within support such as databases, virtual machines, and monitoring systems.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or regional equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of .NET experience (C#, ASP.NET and the .Net framework);
- Minimum 4 year of client facing support or consulting role;
- Minimum 4 years of experience with SQL Server;
- Minimum 4 year experience with IIS;
- 3 years working with Business Objects strongly preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
- Bilingual French & English;
- Knowledge of C# 3.0, ASP.NET 3.5, WCF 3.5, WF 3.5 is required;
- Strong knowledge of integration methodology;
- Strong professional consulting skills (i.e. negotiation, client relationship management, scope management);
- Confident and assertive in both verbal and written communications skills;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work with virtual teams;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and team-based environment;

- Demonstrated ability to be a results-oriented self-starter requiring minimal supervision;
- Legal industry knowledge preferred;
- Knowledge C# 4.0/5.0, ASP.NET MVC 3/4, ASP.NET 4.0 WebAPI, WCF 4.0, WF 4.0, EF4.1 a plus;
- Experience with ASP.NET MVC 2.0/3.0/4.0, jQuery is a plus.
Preferred Certifications:
- MCSD: Web Applications or MCPD (ASP.NET Developer/ Visual Studio 2008/2010) certification (or greater);
- MCSM: Data Platform or MCITP: Database Developer certification (or greater);
- MCPD (Enterprise Application Developer 3.5/4.0/ Visual Studio 2008/2010 certification (or greater).
